Composers, take the stage with a composition commission full of creative possibilities!
We are offering emerging, talented composers the opportunity to have their work performed by one of the Arte Musicale ensembles. Whether you want to embrace the magic of a children’s choir, explore the richness of a chamber orchestra, or compose for any of our performing groups, the possibilities are endless:
- Children’s Choir – unison (or simple two-part writing)
- Youth Choir – mixed voices (SAB, SATB)
- Women’s Choir – SSA, SSAA
- Chamber Choir – SATB, SSATB
- Chamber Orchestra – strings (5, 5, 3, 5, 1) / 2 flutes / 2 oboes / 2 clarinets / 2 bassoons / 2 trumpets / 2 trombones / 4 horns / tuba / percussion
Once you have been selected (on September 15, 2026), we will put you in touch with the conductor of the ensemble you wish to write for. This will allow you to discuss the ensemble’s level, artistic expectations, and practical considerations to ensure the best possible collaboration.
Let your creativity flourish and bring your musical vision to life!
Submit your application by September 15, 2026, and send in your score by December 15, 2026, for evaluation by our expert jury. The nominated works will be announced on January 15, 2027, and will be proudly premiered on Friday evening, March 19, 2027, during a vibrant Creation Concert.
We are looking for choral works of approximately 3–4 minutes in duration. Orchestral works (optionally including choir) may be longer, with a maximum duration of 12 minutes.
Friday, March 19, 2027 – The Creation Concert!
Naturally, we invite an audience to join us on this musical journey and share in the experience. Following the performances, both the audience and the jury will vote for their favourite compositions. The top three winners will receive a special commemorative prize as a lasting memento of the event.
All performances will be professionally recorded in both audio and video and will be made available free of charge to both the performers and the composers afterwards.
Register now using the application form on this website.
