Choirs – Let your voices resonate at the Choir Festival!

On Saturday, 20 March 2027, the Arte Musicale Festival Ghent is dedicated entirely to choirs. We are delighted to welcome around 20 choirs of all sizes, levels, and vocal formations for a day filled with outstanding choral music.

Each choir will have the opportunity to present a 20-minute programme to a professional panel of adjudicators, who will provide feedback on a range of criteria, including repertoire selection, performance, interpretation, and overall artistic quality. Whether you are preparing for a major competition, international events such as the World Choir Games, or simply looking to gain your first experience performing for an international audience, our Festival offers the perfect opportunity.

With a spirit of shared passion and connection, the choirs perform with one another rather than against one another. Instead of selecting winners, the jury focuses on providing valuable, constructive feedback to encourage the artistic growth and development of every participating choir.

All performances will be professionally recorded in both audio and video and, afterwards, the recordings will be made available free of charge to both the performers and the composers.

To add a touch of excitement to the day, we will also present an Audience Award at the end of the festival. This prize is awarded not for technical perfection, but to the choir that makes the strongest emotional connection with the audience. The choir that wins the Audience Award will receive a full refund of its registration fee.
